Freije-RSC Contributes To Indianapolis Habitat for Humanity Board Build

During the month of April Freije-RSC was proud to donate time and labor to assist the Indianapolis Habitat for Humanity organization with their first ever Board Build. What is a Board Build, you ask? Rather than the Habitat for Humanity board members going into the community to raise money through outings and lunches, they strap on their tool belts and invite local businesses to assist them in building a home for a local family in need.

A truly humbling experience, our team of foreman employees was honored to provide assistance on tasks such as plumbing and mechanical projects.

It was an amazing experience to see the project from start to finish. I couldn’t believe that it started as a shell and a month later was livable. At the kick off meeting we found out that these homes aren’t given away, they’re earned. Knowing that I helped set the piping and build the ductwork was very rewarding. I can’t wait to do it again and I hope to set up a company build day shortly. ” – Ashley Griffith, Freije-RSC Construction Coordinator

Collectively, the Board Build raised over $66,500 to help fund this family’s very first house. Freije-RSC is proud to have worked on such a rewarding build and welcomes the Harris family to their home.
